Sc. 1:206 L. 240 mm. H. 165 mm.

Real steamboat with typical paddle-wheel sailing along the Mississippi river. It was used both for the conveyance of goods, mostly cotton coming from the vast plantations of the deep South, and for the conveyance of passengers in the great staging of show-boat.
MM 14   ENDEAVOUR II
yacht classe J
Sc. 1:193 L. 213 mm. H. 256 mm.

It was the last English challenger of the J class in 1937 America’s Cup. Its defeat by the defender "Ranger" represented the end of an age. Fragile and expensive because of the constant research of new materials an the appliance of advanced technologies, these giants of the sea were dropped in favour of more agile ships.
